About us

The association was born from the initiative of a group of friends in Italy who want to support Father Pedro in his fight to re-establish the dignity and hope to the families and children of Madagascar.

We have known Father Pedro from close and we have been captivated by his energy, his pragmatic approach and his nobility of spirit. We were amazed at seeing thousands of children singing and dancing during the Sunday mass with an incredible enthusiasm.

Father Pedro supports our association and is often in contact with us through email and phone. He regularly travels to France and Italy and is always available for organizing conferences and meetings to know the associations from close and the members who help him during the year and also to give fresh news on what is happening in Akamasoa, in Madagascar.

Our mission

The association of volunteers "Friends of Father Pedro - ONLUS" aims at promoting social and humanitarian solidarity, in the sectors of social and health assistance, welfare, professional training, education and the protection of civil rights. In particular, its aims are:

1. To increase the awareness of the global problem of hunger, thirst, under-development, deprivation of health care, poverty and marginalization, both in far and near places;
2. To provide concrete aid to people in need either for physical, psychic, economic, social or familial reasons, who, in any part of the world, need economic, moral and social support.
3. To supply tangible aid to initiatives and projects that support and protect childhood, to defend the rights of children as approved by the Convention on the Rights of the Child (New York, November 1989).
